Forest Park is the public municipal park that encompasses all of the trails and locations each Wildwood Candle Co. scent is dedicated to. One of the country's largest urban forest reserves (ranking 19th in size among other U.S. parks), it spans over 5,000 acres, equaling out to more than 70 miles of trails and firelanes. In the early 1860s, civic leaders desired to create a natural preserve in the woods near Portland, but it wasn't until 1948 that it was officially inducted.

Perfect Sample Size!

I wanted to try this scent before committing to a full candle and these travel tins are the perfect way to trial! They are just as wide as Wildwood's regular candles so you actually get the experience of a full throw. Forest Park's hot throw smells just like it does on cold, I am happy to report, refreshing and relaxing. The grapefruit sweetens up the minty note. Oakmoss as a note can often make a scent smell like cologne but I don't get that from this candle at all, it smells more like a cool, sunny day walking through the woods. So, so happy to have the option to try a smaller size, but I would definitely return for the full sized Forest Park candle.
